AMCO Services International are delighted to announce that they have been appointed by Morgan Motor Company to ship and distribute finished vehicles to their world-wide dealerships.

The Morgan Motor Company is a family-owned British motor car manufacturer that was founded in 1909 by Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan. The Morgan story began with the now iconic Morgan Three-Wheeler, which was followed in 1936 by the Morgan 4-4 which continues to be produced today, and is the longest running production car in the world

The evolution of the Morgan model range has taken the marque into the 21st Century, and today Morgan builds 850 cars per year, the majority of which are shipped overseas to dealerships in Europe, USA, Japan and Australasia.

The AMCO partnership with Morgan began with the transport and shipping of 1983cc V-twin engines from the USA which are fitted into the new 3 wheeler.

The successful partnership further developed with V8 engines being shipped by AMCO to Morgan’s plant in the UK from BMW Munich for the Plus 8 and Aero 8.

AMCO now transport and ship finished vehicles to the Morgan Cars Dealer network world-wide, with the AMCO International Logistics team taking precious care of these beautiful and handcrafted cars, ensuring safe, secure and timely delivery to their new owners.

Graham Storry, Executive Chairman of AMCO, said “I am personally delighted that Amco are associated with this historic and prestigious marque. When I started Amco in 1983 we were heavily involved in motorsport as Amco Services Motorsport, a specialist shipping and freight forwarding agency for the motor sport industry, shipping F1 cars, teams and equipment all around the world. We can, as AMCO Services International, add Morgan Cars to our list of other automotive customers such as Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, Nissan, Ford, VW, Toyota and GM.”

Steve Morris, Managing Director of Morgan Motor Company, added: “Graham and his Amco team have impressed us with their attention to detail, planning, real customer service and their knowledge of carefully handled, time sensitive logistics and shipping. We put a lot of time, care, detail and attention into every car we craft and its really good to see a logistics business that shares this approach.”
