Having worked in Automotive for more years than I care to remember, there are certain things you need from a Carrier.
1. Someone I can talk to 24 /7 if needed. I know with Amco and certainly with my Account Manager Phil that my call will be answered
2. Accurate and timely information. Amco understand what is required and when to be it one of our normal A to B routes or a special transport
3. Reliability. Amco will never promise something they cannot deliver, they tell me what they can do, not what they can’t.
4. These days, you also need value for money, I know the price for the job up front and no hidden extras.
Having worked with Phil for several years now, he understands what my expectations are and has passed that onto his Team. I like to think we have more of a Partnership than a Supplier / Customer Relationship. We work together looking for solutions, improvements and costs savings.
For me it is about having trust and I know I can ring Amco and more often than not get a solution to my problem in a timely fashion.
